September 2007, I began to study and write the first program using C#. And in April 2017, I became Microsoft Azure MVP. After 10 years, among my memorable memories, there are three most important milestones to me through which I affirmed my love with Microsoft technologies and especially with Microsoft Azure.
- Start my “deep love” with Microsoft – In march 2008, I met my master, Mr. NGUYEN Nguyen, who trained me in one year to become a good developer by mastering C# programing language. He shared me too many useful best practices and some of them I still use until now such as how to build N-tiers architecture applications, how to apply design patterns, how to implement WCF services, etc. He also showed me the way to improve productivity by applying effectively development utilities such us using TFS for source code control, team collaboration or using shortcut keys to quickly to performance some activities.
- Start to know Azure – In June 2012, I went to the UK to join a 200-people project to build a product in the financial domain. In the project, we used many Microsoft technologies such as ASP.NET MVC, WCF, WIF, AppFabric and SQL Server to build a multi-tenancy, SaaS-based and Windows Azure-ready architecture (Windows Azure is original name of Microsoft Azure). I read and had the very first Microsoft Azure experience at that time. I also met and worked with a famous MVP in UK, RICHARD Costall, and learnt too much from him especially how to build Rich-Internet application with ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET Web API.
- Start to dream about Azure MVP – In October 2015, after finishing a project to migrate a complex application from on-premises data center to Azure with many services were applied such as Storage Account, VM, SQL Database, VNet, RemoteApp or WebApp, I came back to Vietnam from Germany and decided to move to FPT Software’s Cloud Innovation Unit and focus on Cloud and IoT solution based on Microsoft Azure platform. I started to share my real-world knowledge and experience to community, which I gathered by serving Japan, APAC, US and Europe enterprise grade customers. My Azure MVP dream also started at that time.
In 2016, despite being so busy and travelling a lot, but with encouragement and supporting from my colleagues and friends I still had some effective activities and good content to contribute to technology community. I believe this is the main reason to help me to achieve Microsoft MVP award in Microsoft Azure category. And in 2017, my target is supporting more people to study and start to work with Microsoft Azure platform effectively.
